The number of coins minted is printed below each opening of this folder. All H.E. Harris folders are made from acid-free materials for the defense and storage of your coins. The holes in this folder have an unique LOCK-IN feature. However first, a word of care: always hold a coin by the edge and never touch its obverse or reverse. We recommend you use gloves when pushing your coins into location. Now that you are all set, simply place the coin with one edge tipped into the hole, and then press the high edge downward and towards the lowered edge (slantwise). Feel the snap? It’s secured! The Eisenhower Dollar (1971-1978) was introduced to honor President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who has passed away in 1969. The style on the reverse celebrates the first lunar landing. The American Eagle holds an olive branch (a sign of peace) in its talons as it decends to the moon. The Earth can be seen in the range. U.S Mint chief at engraver Frank Gasparro developed the coin: his initials appear on the obverse at the truncation of the bust, and the reverse below the eagle’s tail. The Anthony Dollar (1979-1981 and 1999) was presented in honor of Susan B. Anthony, popular suffragist and females’s rights supporter. It marked the very first time in history that a picture of a “genuine” female – rather than a mythological or symbolic figure – had actually appeared on a U.S. distributing coin.
